쇼핑을 하던 레니는 부유한 또래 아이들을 만나면서 자신의 어머니와 현재의 생활환경을 부끄럽게 여기기 시작한다. 그러던 어느 날, 뜻밖의 콘플레이크 한 봉지를 계기로 레니와 엄마 사이에는 조심스럽고 따뜻한 마음의 교류가 시작된다.
