The New Every Day Life
Director. Isak Laestadius, André Palm, Jakob Larsson
Country. SwedenYear of production. 2021Running time. 6min

3 young dancers Wilma, Emilia and Julia from North of Sweden, with the help of dance and music will portray their and others' feelings during the Pandemic. In the course of the film, you will visit a place that is filled with silence and loneliness in Sandträsk sanatorium, which had a similar connection to the world disease tuberculosis, which was a similar problem in Sweden 100 years ago, when 5000 people died. The dance should represent the quarantine that many people around the world are experiencing. The dancers try to fill the silence with dance instead of reflecting the constant increase of sick around the host. These weak but pulsating dance steps turn into fast movements that then end with calm and relaxed movements that reflect the fu ture without Corona that many hope for. Many hope that the pandemic will not take any more lives. Hope is still alive, the hope that everything will retu rn to normal.
