Director's Inspiration
Several years ago, one of my acquaintances did not want to make an appointment on a certain day saying “I scheduled blood donation on this day.” I asked why he donates the blood all of a sudden. His answer was the donation center gives a movie tickets as a token of its appreciation to donors and that is what he ‘really’ wants. Like this circumstance, we can easily witness the cases that means become ends. It is called “sociologically-It is reversal of the order of host and guest.-” At a glance, It seems like nothing, but this ridiculous replacement, quietly permeating our daily lives, can reverse someone's whole life upside down, one fine day.
Synopsis
Yijob is a young man who came from Eritrea, now living in Korea. His birthday is something different comparing to other’s. His factory colleagues, Changcheong and Samir, are planning to have a birthday party for him at midnight in December 31.
